LAS GOLONDRINAS APRIL 2008 NEWS UPDATE

Who would believe that we are now at the start of May as it only seems like yesterday that I was wishing you all a Happy New Year. The weather towards the end of April has now become settled and we are experiencing hot sunny days at last.
 
POOL
The 2nd pool heater has been replaced and I’m glad to report we have now a functional heated pool at last and the water temperature is on average 28C.

Small lights are being fitted at either side of the pool gates to illuminate the gate locks.

ADSL INTERNET CONNECTION
For the last 3 weeks the Wi-fi Hotspot system has been extensively tested by several owners and I’m pleased to report that it has been in the main stable and on average is running in excess of the contracted speed of 1Mb. An independent detailed daily log of the speed and performance of the Internet connection is being maintained.

During the testing it was identified that 1 block on the back line and several blocks on the front line are experiencing “Black/Grey spots” which is resulting in weak signals. After discussions with VIP three more small antennas are going to be erected to rectify the weak signal problem to the majority of the Apartments affected. As stated in the discussion document at the AGM there could be a small number of Apartments, due to poor signal location, that may have to be dealt with on an individual basis to obtain a functional signal.

Along with the Internet I have been testing the “Phone System” which offers free landline phone calls to 63 different Countries and overall it has proved to be very successful. The system also gives free Text Messages and cheap calls to mobiles.

COMMUNITY FEES
The following Owners, as at the 30th of April 2008, still remain in debt to the Community and are incurring a monthly 5% penalty charge of their outstanding balance on a cumulative basis.

I trust that the above Owners will take heed of their outstanding debt to the Community and settle the matter as soon as possible.
