LAS GOLONDRINAS FEBRUARY 2008 NEWS UPDATE
The Community has been a “Hive” of activity all month but unfortunately it was severely hampered by February’s persistent bad weather. The weather for March is predicted to be a lot better – let’s keep our fingers crossed
POOL REFURBISHMENT
Work continues on the pool and hopefully by the end of next week everything will be completed and the pool will be re-filled – weather permitting.
On inspection of the pool lights it has been necessary to replace them as they were beyond economical repair due to water seepage and condensation.
In order to resolve the problem of the waterlogged grass, close to two of the showers, the Terrazzo tiling has been extended at the entrance to the pool and the top of the stairs leading to phase 2.
The decorative railings have now been erected on the wall at the car park entrance to the pool and on the wall adjacent to back line garden and we now have a Community pool that conforms to current safety regulations.
As agreed all of the existing Sun Parasols have now been replaced.
ADSL INTERNET CONNECTION
Due to February’s bad weather our Community “Wi-Fi Hot Spot” system will not be completed for approx. 3 to 4 weeks. We have had several meetings with Peter Pedersen of VIP Hotspots and he is confident, again subject to weather, that this is a realistic timescale for completion.
WARNING – APARTMENT ELECTRICS
I know this is something we have all experienced at one time or another - the electrics tripping out for no apparent reason - so I decided to have my fuse box checked professionally last week.
On inspection it was found that, at the outset, incorrect circuit breakers had been fitted to my fuse box and the majority of the fuses were overloaded. If your fuse box is wired in the same manner as mine there is the possibility of the circuit breakers causing you problems in the future and in extreme cases burning out with the resultant fire risks.
I would recommend that purely on safety reasons and peace of mind you have your electrics checked.
The Community is now using Cabopino Lighting for Electrical work and should you wish to have your electrics inspected (cost involved) please contact Paul Wainwright, (English) office: 951 310 083 mobile: 657 466 803 Daniel Parrilla, (English & Spanish) office: 951 310 083 mobile: 695 190 258
COMMUNITY FEES
It has now been agreed that Owners who still have outstanding Community Fees after 1 month of them becoming due will have a monthly penalty charge of 5% of the outstanding fee added to their balance. This will come into effect from the 1st of April 2008.
